Putty is the most popular SSH client on Windows.

Odd/Strang Charaters

When using Putty, I offen got odd charaters on man pages and on w3m pages.  It is not very good.  It borthers me for a while until I figure it out for setting he font and encoding.

Font (Window -> Appearance): Lucida Console

Encoding (Window -> Translation): UTF-8

We could update the Default Settings, so every new session will have it setup. It seems that the Encoding setting (UTF-8) could fix the issue by itself.
